I’m a writer living at the intersection of digital culture and creativity. Originally a technologist by trade, I’m still captivated by new technology—particularly communications technology—and the promise it offers to spark our unique human capacity for creativity and imagination.
So, as a content writer for major tech brands like HP, Intel, Ziff-Davis and Vonage, I thoroughly enjoy blogging about topics like design thinking, tech innovation, the virtual workforce, unified communications, and even IT management (I’m a former IT Director). How will technology influence and enhance our work and personal lives in the near and distant future? That’s a question with which I’m frequently occupied when engaging in content writing.
But another question that motivates much of my thinking and writing is this one: How is the world around us facilitating or impeding our ability to realize our greatest potential and express our innate creativity? And so, with that question in mind, I’m expanding my writing into another area that touches more explicitly on the liberation and realization of our creative potential as human beings.
As a result, my upcoming writing projects may tie in with technology and likely often will (I aim to cover sci-fi topics like the recent tv series Westworld and upcoming Star Trek: Discovery series as well as the state of women in technology, for example), but it won’t be limited to that single category. I’ll also be exploring this question from other angles such as the arts (classical music, theater, and the visual arts), entrepreneurship, pop culture, and current events.
I’ve created this site as a sandbox where I can begin delving into these areas of focus and then build them out on a larger scale, perhaps in longer format pieces or other in-depth examinations of a specific topic, both for publication and for my own personal interest.
If you’re curious to know what I’m working on now, feel free to have a look at the blog (that’s the sandbox where I’m working on new creativity-focused material) or my portfolio, which I keep up to date with my most recent published work.
