Hacking goes far beyond malware and phishing, even compromising what some people call the gold standard of secure computing—air-gapped computers. Motivated black hats can remotely commandeer computers that have been entirely disconnected from all networks by issuing ultrasonic commands and hijacking thermal sensors. They can even silently transmit confidential data right out from under your nose using LED lights. It sounds like something out of Jason Bourne, but it’s very real.
