AI is on the way, so the industry analysts say, and it’s true—we’re already tasking virtual assistants with simple errands and engaging with chatbots when troubleshooting problems with products or services. But until I wrote this piece for IBM, I hadn’t yet considered in depth how important a factor mobile technology is as an enabler for AI.
Enterprises are already delving into AI projects at full speed, with nearly 70% of them expected to take on some sort of AI initiative in the coming year. As they do, they should carefully evaluate mobile’s strategic role in bringing their AI goals to fruition, for it is in the mobile context (particularly as 5G networks come online) that they will find particularly valuable success.
